I had very bad dreams after reading this article...but maybe it was that lasagna...
REVEREND DOOMSDAY
Robert Dreyfuss. Rolling Stone. New York: Feb 19, 2004. , Iss. 942
"It might seem unlikely that the commander in chief would take his marching orders directly from on high -- unless you understand the views of the Rev. Timothy LaHaye, one of the most influential leaders of the Christian right, and a man who played a quiet but pivotal role in putting George W. Bush in the White House. If you know LaHaye at all, it's for his series of best-selling apocalyptic novels. You've seen the Left Behind novels everywhere: aboard airplanes, at the beach, in massive displays at Wal-Mart."

Home improvement abounds...
-yesterday-
painted the bathroom and got my mom high on silver metallic paint fumes, just cause I wanted big squares all over the walls. Had to leave the house for awhile. Started a painting for the living room.
-today-
hung shelving in the bathroom and created lighting in the living room with 3 chinese lanterns. Still working on the painting.

I have been buried in a pile of photos and essays to grade for two days now and it's just m second day substituting.
Baby Regalado was born today at 11:33 am, one of the students with the "baby cell phone" came rushing in to my classroom to take the call and write down the stats to announce to everyone. We will visit the newest photographer in the world tomorrow at the hospital after my all important doctors appointment.
Tune in here or monkhouse for the gender announcement sometime tomorrow evening.
Must grade some more now.

Shanna & Beth- for coming all the way to A-town for my birthday, the BBQ sauce I never got to taste, and always entertaining stories
Scott & Britta- for the Target gift card, being so nice to us when we were total strangers in San Diego, and adventures to come
Joshua, Kristin, & Judah- for the wonderful birthday brownies, opening your home and lives to us, and lending me books with a wealth of information for my first baby.
and last but not even the least:
Mom, Dad, Grans, Grandad, Ron, Roy, IJ, Jeff, Justin, Kyle- for having a big hand in making our new house into a home and helping in every possible way. It wouldn't be as put together as it is without your help and support. Thanks also to Kutter for the approval of the backyard.

Well, the painting has begun. The kitchen is now finished and the living room just started. Everything in the main rooms should be in good shape for the birthday cookout/in. Oh, just in case any of our DFW homies didn't get the email (we don't have everybody's stored), we're having a cookout at our new house this saturday evening, please email me or David for directions and instructions if you want to come.
