My mom called yesterday to ask if I wanted to have lunch today and do something. I'm kind of excited about it. Partly because I have barely left the confines of our house this week, partly because my mom wants to spend time with me. I don't know if it is the fact that I am becoming a mother and we now have something profound to share or what, but it's awfully nice.

I have never been so emotionally unstable as I have been today. I've swung from happy to sad to annoyed to pissed to blubbering to calm to panicky. I can't take much more of this. I'd like to have my regular hormones back please.
Little Bean weighs 5lbs and 7ozs right now. We are 35 weeks along and I couldn't be more ready to see her.

Josie and I are watching bugs get devoured by little lizards on the office window. Josie is especially enjoying this, she wishes she could then jump through the glass and devour the lizard that just ate the bugs. It's the food chain at its finest. You should have seen her when 3 lizards decided to succumb to the call of the wild on our window screen. I thought she was going to die. David and I sat there in fascination as Josie followed their every move. It's Cat TV.

David is dead to the world right now. I need to wake him soon so that he can co host the radio show tonight. 24 Hour Comic Day was a success for him. Not only did he stretch his creative muscles but he also got to do something that was truly just for HIM. He deserves that a lot. He spends a lot of time doing things for his students and you know I've got him running around in circles for me during this whole baby thing. He finally got 24 hours all to himself.
I'm proud of you hon.

I agree. I really enjoyed seeing Ira Glass last night. He's so intelligent, witty, and personable. Besides the fact that the two people sitting behind me were most annoying with the chair kicking and the key rattling (mingled with the fact that I cannot sit comfortably for more than thirty minutes or so), the night was great. It was good to see familiar faces there.

It's 68 degrees in our house right now: David is wearing a sweatshirt and jeans and I'm burning like the sun! If I could peel off my skin to get cooler I certainly would.
Tomorrow will be the best day ever. I get a haircut (my favorite activity in the whole world) and An Evening With Ira Glass.

David hit the nail on the head. There ARE big plans and projects, there IS a kiddo on the way, and we HAVE been getting crazy propositions and houseguests. I think it's going to be all good.

TA DAAAA! Yay David for helping me put this up and BlogDesigns for the blog design. Since I'm going through major life changes right now, I thought my blog needed a major life change. There are still a few little things that need to be done. There is no about page or other page.
But if you'll notice my email link is my new Gmail account email address. PLEASE update. I've decided to move on from Yahoo. After reading Dan's post about Gmail, I was convinced. Especially since it has TEN times more storage than my SBC Yahoo. Also I love to save every email I ever recieved and that tends to strangle my account and I have to go back and delete stuff. Which I hate. I'm a slight pack rat.

My great grandfather, Papa, is hanging in the gray area between life and death right now. He is unconscious and his throat has closed up and can no longer swallow, possibly from a stroke he had sometime this past week. His body is riddled with cancer and they were about to amputate his foot to save the rest of him. But now hospice care has been called in. When he entered into the nursing home he signed a form that said he was not to be fed by tubes and kept alive, he'd rather die. He watched his own mother kept alive this way and it was horrible for him. He told my Grans during a break from his dimentia that "this isn't living, give me a knife or a gun, I just want to die." He's 93 and it has been amazing that he's been here this long. It wasn't until a few years ago that he started losing touch with reality, so I think we are lucky to have him this long. I hope the Lord takes him soon to end his suffering and my Grans's, Aunt Joan's. Aunt Louise's, and Aunt Glenda's. And the rest of us. We love you Papa.

Car dealerships are inherently evil, especially Nazi run Volkswagen. Those MFrs yanked us around for a week with wrong diagnoses, large sums of money owed, and a car that still hadn't been totally fixed. We immediately yanked that stupid car from their clutches and took it to a small shop near our house. They correctly identified the problem (VW had not) and charged us 500 dollars less than what VW was going to for an incorrect solution to the car's problem. Avoid 2001 Jettas and Hiley Volkswagen at all costs!!!
The problem: Somehow DEISEL fuel got into our gas tank. Cars won't run on deisel. How the hell did it get in there? The last place I took it to get gas doesn't even SELL deisel. SABOTAGE!!!
